Photographing a destination wedding in Italy was always a dream of mine, so I was so happy to have booked Natasha and Nigel‘s wedding in Ostuni, Italy. I always knew their wedding would be full of style and it didn’t disappoint!
Natasha got ready in the stunning town house, Albeda Ostuni, they were staying in, in the centre of Ostuni. The talented Alessandro Mancino was on hair and make up, Natasha looked gorgeous. She wore the most beautiful custom, 2 piece Saldana Vintage dress with Castaner x Malono Blahnik espadrilles – perfect for that Italian look! To finish the look, she also wore a straw hat from ASOS.
Once ready, we left for Ostuni Town Hall in a tuk tuk style car down Ostuni’s little streets. The ceremony area was covered in gorgeous flowers by Annalori Blasi Floral Designer (who also made the AMAZING bouquet!). As the ceremony began, locals and tourists stood around the town hall and watched the vows take place. Talking of vows, Nigel had learnt his in Italian and surprised everyone on the day. After the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace for a drinks reception at Garibaldi, whilst listening to Past and Fasul Italian Swing play live.
We walked around the streets of Ostuni taking photographs, this place made for the most stunning backdrop – there were such pretty little areas on every turn. Once we’d finished, we met all of the guests and the swing band played whilst everyone followed them up to La Sommita Relais where the wedding breakfast would take place.
La Sommita Relais was the perfect setting for an al fresco wedding breakfast. The long table, full of flowers gave guests more opportunity to chat whilst eating their Michelin star Italian wedding breakfast. Bar Pasticceria made the stunning cake which was bought out later due to the heat. The fruit and flowers on the cake made it look delicious!
In the evening, we took a quick visit to an olive grove for more photographs. Once again, it made for a stunning backdrop – there was even a white horse! Then everyone went back to the town house for evening drinks in the ‘Bazeley Bar’.
It was such a wonderful experience being able to photograph such a stunning day in an amazing location. Thank you SO much for picking me to photograph your day
