The Loire Valley
The Loire Valley is such a beautiful part of France. Known for it’s wines, it is also home to a lot of beautiful chateaus! I spent a week in Tours France, driving around visiting some of the stunning Castles.
These included;
Château de Chenonceau, one of my favourites. This place is just beautiful. I liked it because it looked like a Chateau.. I know that seems like a silly thing to say, but it looked like what I thought a Chateau should look like… with the turrets and how it goes out over the river.
Château Amboise a lovely Chateau up on the hill in Amboise. Amboise is also a pretty little place to walk round. Château Amboise is where Leonardo Da Vinci is buried.. His home, Clos Lucé is also a short walk away. This is a great place to visit too!
Château de Villandry is one of the huge ones with great gardens. Very picturesque and a stunning place for photographs!
Château Ussé a pretty place to look out.. but I felt it was a little commercialised with the sleeping beauty theme (it was the Castle Charles Perrault had in mind when writing the story). However, it was still a cute little place.
I really enjoyed the Loire Valley.. I could imagine doing some wedding photography there – wouldn’t it be a great place for a destination wedding?!
Tours in France was a great location to visit lots of locations. Also a great city to visit too!
Hope you enjoy my photographs!
