LYON
So I spent a few weeks in my favourite country – France! I was over there to photograph a wedding, but took some time out to relax and explore! First stop was Lyon. I didn’t really know what to expect from Lyon, I hadn’t overly looked at photographs (apart from a little Pinterest search) but it was such a great place!
It was a very picturesque place and had a great feel. I particularly liked Vieux Lyon (old Lyon) it had such pretty little old streets and nice food (and ice cream). It was pretty hot when we got there, about 33 degrees, but we still managed to wander around in the heat and also use a nice air conditioned car!
Whilst wandering around Vieux Lyon, we visited La Tour Rose, great for photos! We also went to the Cathedral (Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière) which was so pretty and had great views of Lyon.
Lyon has some great murals on the walls, Mur Des Canuts is a good one to see, there’s a photograph below.
Thank you to one of my brides, Sarah. Who LOVES Lyon and gave me lots of great tips!
