3 tips for taking good travel photographs + free stuff!

I love travel and I love photography (obviously). Even though I am on holiday and enjoying a break, I still love to take decent photographs of my travels. Here are 3 tips for taking good holiday photographs;

1. Get there early or find out the times that places are less busy. If you get to a tourist attraction early, you beat the crowds which means less people in your photographs (result!). However, if you’re like me and you don’t do early, find out the times when places are less busy. In Venice, the cruise ships drop people off in the morning and pick people up again early evening. This means that the place feels emptier around 8pm. Also, in Florence I found there were less people around the Duomo in the early evening. Perfecto! Do research!

2. Be patient. This is a pain for anyone who is with you, but… It means you get good photographs! Wait for people to move, wait for people to walk past, wait for the sun to go behind a cloud.. Anything that means you get ‘the shot’.

3. Find the best spots. Research on Instagram and travel blogs the best places for pretty photographs. Then go there and take plenty!
