I have always loved Italy, it’s cities.. it’s food. I have visited Sorrento and Rome, but this week I visited the beautiful city of Venice.
Beautiful is an understatement. It’s beyond beautiful. From the second you arrive you are blown away by the amazing architecture.
We travelled by vaporetto (water bus) to the nearest stop by our hotel. This was a great way to see Venice by water and it’s great landscapes.
What I loved about Venice is getting lost. You can walk for miles through it’s tiny streets visiting the cute little shops and cafes, and simply get completely lost.
Our hotel was by St. Mark’s square, which again is amazing. It’s full of life and expensive lattes! Haha!
The Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the Bell Tower, Saint Mark’s Basilica (Basilica di San Marco), Bridge of Sighs and the Rialto Bridge are all amazingly beautiful to look at and visit.
Venice is a photographer’s dream. I could not stop taking photographs of this amazing city.
When people told me how beautiful it was, I believed them of course.. but when I visited it, it was way more amazing than I had imagined it.
I realise I have said beautiful about 10 times during this blog post.. I’ll let my photographs do the rest of the talking.
If you ever get the chance to visit Venice, do.

Hey Kayleigh,
Late comment – ha! – but just to say thanks for sharing these great pics from Venice.
I had a great time out there, and your photos made for great memory-joggers.
I’ll be going back before too long!
Cheers,
