This morning, I was doing my emails in my pyjamas when I received one from GoHen. They’d written to me to say I had been named as one of the top 50 Wedding Bloggers in the UK! (EEK!).
I am so unbelievable chuffed to see my name on a list alongside the likes of Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, Love My Dress and Rock n’ Roll Bride.. blogs that I read and love!
I kinda fell into blogging. I was never a writer.. Infact at school I was pretty naff at it. But the more and more I wrote about things I was passionate about, the more I enjoyed it. I always try to write how I speak and it’s given me a great outlet to be able to share my work, advice and things I generally like.
So to be recognised as a top 50 wedding blogger in the UK makes me incredibly proud! Thank you GoHen x
The 2017 wedding season began at Warwick House for Helen and Matt’s beautiful day. In the morning, Helen got ready with her bridesmaids. The fabulous Bryony Dalton was the make up artist and Kerri at Headmasters in Leamington styled her hair. Helen wore a gorgeous dress from the White Boutique and Jo Malone perfume.. all finished off with a stunning bouquet by Emily Robbins.
Once ready, the ceremony began then it was outside for photographs. Considering it was January, the sunshine was gorgeous.
The wedding breakfast room looked lovely and cosy. Candles and flowers (also by Emily Robbins) filled the centre of the tables and their cake (by Marks and Spencer’s) sat proudly in the corner. I loved their cake toppers, by PegItDolls on Etsy – so cute!
In the evening, came the first dance. I particularly loved the choice of song – Life’s a happy song by the Muppets!
Thank you for picking me to photograph your beautiful day!

It’s a question I am always asked. Either for planning purposes.. or because they want to know how long they will be subjected to photographs for haha!
For me, the photograph time after the ceremony is used for;
Bride and groom portraits
I know some photographers like to take the bride and groom out at other points of the day. But my personal preference is to do all the important photographs in the time after the ceremony. This way, the rest of the day will be candid photographs etc
A venue usually gives an hour and a half for photographs. I agree with this and it is more than adequate. Even an hour can be fine with good organisation!
However, for small weddings and if the couple don’t particularly want a lot of family photographs – it can be much shorter.
Hope this helps in some way!
It’s no secret I have a thing for France, so I am particularly interested in French Skin care. In the winter I spend a lot of my time sat infront of my computer, so my hair and skin feels dry. I don’t actually just blame the winter or my iMac for this.. I have naturally dry hair.
Recently, I found Nuxe Oil. It can be used on the skin and hair, and I can really feel a difference after using it. It has such a nice scent and adds a little shine to my hair. I have also used it on my skin which I have found works great too!

Amy and Tom got married on New Years Eve 2016 at the gorgeous Swallows Nest Barn. They wanted a very laid back style of Wedding Photography.. which suited their day perfectly.
Amy looked stunning in her Martina Liana dress, she did her make up herself and her hair was styled at Millennium in Rugby.
It was really lovely to photograph a wedding on New Years Eve, there was lots of sparkle and hints of gold. Guests were also given party goody bags for midnight as their favours.
Tom’s mum made all the decorations and Amy’s Auntie and Cousin made their cakes, which made for some lovely personal touches.
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph your gorgeous NYE wedding!
I love photography, Paris and my phone. So it’s great to be able to combine the 3 with a pretty phone cover! GoCustomized offers personalised phone cases with your favourite photographs on them.. as well as many other cool designs. I like the fact that they’re fresh, a good price and most importantly..high quality!
I chose one of my hundreds of photographs from Paris to put on the back.. and I think it’s looks pretty cute!
Brogan and Shane got married on a rainy Saturday in December. Their ceremony took place at St. Mary’s in Walsgrave. I love this church. Not only did my parents get married there, but it is full of beautiful light and everywhere is so bright!
In the morning, Brogan got ready at home. Her best friend from primary school, Charlotte McCann styled her hair. Her gorgeous dress was from WED 2 B and she wore Dune shoes. The always wonderful Emily Robbins made the bouquets.
After the ceremony we all left for Ansty Hall where the reception took place. Even though the rain was on and off, we were still able to get outside and take some photographs!
As the rain began to pour guests sat down for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Link Mailing (highly recommend) had made all the stationary and Cards galore and more provided the room styling.
It was a pleasure to photograph your wonderful day – Thank you for picking me!
